Special Equipment

Flat shooting rifles of 25/06 caliber or larger with 100 grain bullets or heavier sighted in for dead on at 200 yards with variable scopes of 3x9 power or more. Good quality binoculars a must, with spotting scopes optional. Light brown camo clothing complete with face net and gloves. Hunters should take special precautions not to wear anything shiny. Optional are ice chest, camera, video, and comfortable walking shoes.

Travel Tips

Secure your airline tickets at least one month in advance of your travel dates. Hunters should arrive the evening before the first day of their hunt and leave the day following the end of their hunt. Most hunters fill out the first day and leave the next. We will help you obtain your hunting license in advance by mail. Use soft duffle bags and stuff them inside a large 100 plus quart ice chest if you plan on taking the meat home with you. Carry on your cameras and binoculars. Carry your guns in a hard case. You may wish to have your trophies mounted here by a local taxidermist. You may also have the meat from your trophy processed and shipped to you for an additional fee. No one else to blame. Then it was on to New Mexico for a super antelope hunt where a really nice 16" buck was taken.
