Javelina
Hunts
 |
|
Texas is one of only four states that have javelina,
otherwise known as collared peccary. Of these states,
Texas, by far has the highest number, very affordable
hunting licenses, and the longest seasons. Some counties
are open year-round. |

Come
Hunt With Us
 |
|
 |
We have hunted them for years in South Texas & West Texas and have guided 100's of
trophy pigs with 98% success on all our javelina hunts. Our ranches are large and
are home to many javelina. By harvesting a limited amount of javelina per year we
are able to maintain a good population of adult hogs, most of which have large tusks. |
|
Hunting Methods
 |
|
The most effective method is to drive via a 4WD vehicle around the
ranch stopping frequently to glass for javelina. Still hunting
and watching watering holes in the hot summer is also a very
successful method of hunting. Stand hunting over feeding areas
is also very productive! Once located, hunter and guide can often
approach within 50 yards. |

"Just wanted to thank you guys again for making Debbie's first hunting trip so special. There is no doubt, she is hooked. She carries her pictures around everywhere she goes. Our biggest problem now is arguing about whose trophy goes where on the wall. Once again, you guys far surpassed my expectations. The personal attention, the quality of game, the guide service, and yes, Mel, especially the food was absolutely first class. You made Debbie feel extremely comfortable throughout her hunts, and that has made all the difference. We would be happy to share our experience with any other hunters that wish to inquire about your service. I can't thank you enough for helping me to merge a very important part of my life (hunting) with the most important person in my life, my wife. Can't wait to see you guys in November, and make sure Mel makes plenty of banana pudding. Thanks and God bless."
