Aoudad
sheep hunters will especially enjoy hunting our new 35,000 acre Amarillo Ranch or our
100,000 acre West
Texas Ranch, for it will be exactly like hunting Desert Big Horn Sheep without
the high price tag! Lots of fun 4 wheeling, walking, stalking, and
glassing through a spotting scope to pick out the largest ram.
"Hunter and guide stalk to within 200-400 yards and take a careful rest.
The herd ram is nestled atop the large boulders that line the rim of the Palo
Duro Canyon. At the shot the ram buckles and the "whomp" of bullet
striking flesh ricochets off the canyon walls. Dust, dirt and rock violently
erupt as the bullet passes through. You watch helplessly in awe as gravity
yanks your trophy toward the valley floor 600 feet below.
Suddenly your
stomach becomes queasy as you hear the sharp "whack" of your ram’s
horns against solid rock as he plunges downward, crashing repeatedly totally
out of control. The eternal moment climaxes as your ram slides to an abrupt
halt in a spectacular cloud of dust and shale."
This is sheep hunting! Are you up for it?

"Once again, we want to tell you both how much we have enjoyed both of our hunting experiences with you this past season. You run a first class, ethical operation that you have every right to be proud of. Sally and I were treated well by everyone from Magnum with whom we had contact with on both hunts. Your lodge in Eldorado is a true showplace and you are lucky indeed to have it as your home. We really enjoyed our stay there. Our willingness to give you our repeat business is proof of our endorsement. Have a good spring and summer. May the Good Lord watch over you all until we see you again this fall."
Bob Lowder, Albuquerque, NM
“Just wanted to drop you a note to say thanks for the great hunt and hospitality from
Magnum Guide Service, LLC. Everything was first class as usual. It was also an honor to be able to share the hunt with Jim from Ohio. There was such a feeling of friendship as we pulled for Jim to achieve his wish and I was really impressed how you set this up for him. Kyle posted his pictures on the local outdoors show website. Kyle had the best experience that I could have asked for. JP, James and Casey were outstanding guides and great ambassadors for your company. Looking forward to turkey hunting with you in the spring and whitetail hunting next November.”
Major Harding, Jacksonville, FL
“Just wanted to tell you what a great time we all had hunting with
Magnum Guide Service, LLC. The service was fantastic and the hunting was the best I’ve had in many years. We rough scored my buck at 140 gross, Doug’s was 135, and John Prescott’s was 140. Jim, you have some good people working for you. Donnie is a great huntmaster and Corey, JP and Jarrod all worked real hard to make our hunt an enjoyable one. I can’t leave out Melony, and her cooking, wow, I must have gained a few pounds. Everybody went out of his or her way to please and satisfy us in every way possible. I know that I will be back sometime in the future.”
Gary Boyd, Washington, NC
“Hunting trip 2002 was a great success. With another 10-point trophy buck and a four bearded Rio Grande turkey, how much better could it get?! This trip at Magnum allowed me to strengthen old friendships and make memories to last a lifetime. It was a great time that everyone is talking about. Thank you.”
Mack Prescott, New Bern, NC
“I am writing to thank you for the wonderful experience which myself and father will never forget. We both had a wonderful time and both are grateful for your help in making sure that it was truly a unique experience and Melony, the cooking was great. I also wanted to thank the guides for their services which helped to make it a wonderful trip and that the 10 point I brought home will be a trophy that I will always have and will never forget this trip. Again, I would like to thank both of you for your hospitality and hope that you enjoy the pictures I have included.”
Tyler Moutray, Abilene, TX
“I’m looking
forward to seeing all of you again in April.
Thanks for a great time this past deer season.
My brother-in-laws are still talking about their hunt.
Kevin Dye just got his 9 point and “peg leg” deer back from the
taxidermist, which just makes the hunt exciting all over again.
See you in the spring, save me a long beard or two.”
Kevin Hinson,
Hohenwald
,
TN
"Well, once
again, I find myself thanking you for another great hunt. I am so
proud of my two bucks. I sure appreciate all that you do to make our
hunts so special."
Bob Karel, FL
"Just wanted to
drop you a note and tell you how much I enjoyed the hunt this past
week. You guys are more like family than business associates.
As usual, everything was first class. The guides were great!
They really did a good job in making sure we had a good time and had every
opportunity to take a nice deer. Can't wait to see the
pictures. There were some really nice deer taken this year.
I'm already looking forward to next year. Best of luck for the rest
of the hunting season."
Gary Killian, LA
"Thanks for a
great visit and hunt. I really appreciated how you made your
home...our home. Thought you would like the enclosed group
photo. Hope to hunt with you again sometime soon. You have a
fine operation."
Casey Gerber, FL
"Just wanted to drop you a line
and tell you all what a great trip my sons, Bryan, Bear and I had.
Bear loved Texas and all of his trophies. Bryan enjoyed getting back
down to see you once again and got a kick out of his little brother and
the hunter he's becoming. For me, it wasn't the ten point I
harvested, but the time I spent with my two sons. Bryan will get
busy in his life and though we should enjoy some hunts together our time
will be limited with his profession. We all enjoyed ourselves and
hope one day to return as a group to visit our Texas friends. Keep
the plane running, that was worth the trip to see all the animals.
Thanks for everything."
Jerry Hooks, PA
"Thank
you so much for the splendid deer hunt. I am really proud of my
buck. He has a lot of character and a mature deer, of course.
The service, meals, and lodging were great. You all are truly
outstanding outfitters. I look forward to our 2 hunts next year, and
more in the years to come."
Bob Karel, Jacksonville,
FL
“There is no doubt that
this will be one of the most memorable experiences in my life”
Mack Prescott, III, New Bern, NC
"Just wanted to drop you a line to thank you for a great hunt for the
kids. I must tell you when I walked through the door and didn't
recognize any of your staff, I was a bit worried, but then Tracy walked
through the door and we felt better. Any worries were for naught, as
I couldn't have been happier the way your staff, especially Tracy, were
with Katie and Kenny. I know it is not easy dealing with a ten and 7
year old, but your whole staff was great and the kids had a great
time. Obviously the Kerr's believe in Magnum Guide Service, LLC as
enclosed with this letter is our deposit for next year's hunt after
Christmas. I hope you always have this hunt, as it is a great hunt
for kids because of the timing so no school has to be missed. Thanks
again."
Kip
Kerr, Cincinnatti, OH
“You guys are the best. I truly had a great time and the hospitality was
overwhelming. Jim, you have a great
operation and you are very fortunate to have a camp boss like Melony.
She goes at 150 mph and still you feel like a family member in your house.
I never saw so many bucks in my life.
Happy Hunting!”
Terry Broom, Blythewood, SC
