Hunter
Expectations

On an average night hunters may have as many as 8 or
10 shooting opportunities. Our record is 28 fox and
one bobcat in one night. It is highly recommended
that hunters practice shooting some trap or skeet
with a shotgun with a modified choke prior to their
hunt. This gives them a fresh, natural feel for
their shotgun which is important because many shots
are taken as predators rush in very quickly and
hunters are not able to see their sights at night. |

Equipment

Hunters should wear dark colored clothing for night
hunting, and full camo for daytime calling.
Recommended guns are 3" 12 gauge shotguns with
modified chokes and magnum loads of copper plated #2
shot. (NO STEEL SHOT) Small caliber rifles such as
.223 or 22-250 are excellent choices. Scopes up to
12x are great. Rifles should be sighted in for dead
on at 100 yards. Bring a small flashlight, and your
hunting license. |

"Wow....what a great time. If you have not booked a nighttime predator hunt with Magnum Guide Service you better get on the ball and book it now. The accommodations were superb, the meals were excellent and "large". Melony is a fine cook and don't let Jim tell you he cooked it! Everything was super but the hunting was still the best part. Jim is really excited about the hunt and he really works hard for his clients. He took extra special care of my wife helping her through the excitement with patience and expertise. We were not sure what to expect but what we got was way beyond our highest expectations. This is a trip that should be booked today and then rebooked again and again.”
