Hunter Expectations
Hunters should expect to hear many birds daily and be able to work several gobblers throughout each day depending upon their hunting ability and weather conditions.

Special Equipment

10 or 12 gauge shotguns with full chokes patterned out to 40 yards with either 4's, 5's or 6 shot. Full camo, face net, light jacket, tick spray, snake leggings (optional), binoculars, quiet boots, rain gear, camera, ice chest, several different turkey calls, flashlight, G.P.S., toiletries, and hunting license. Bows equipped with special turkey broadheads are fine. We appreciate Hunters not bringing any rifles, handguns, or shotgun shell shot sizes larger than number 4's for safety concerns.

Other Hunting Opportunities

For an additional fee spring turkey hunters, depending upon which ranch is being hunted at the time, may combine exotic hunting for axis, blackbuck antelope, corsican rams, free-ranging aoudad sheep, feral hogs, javelina, predators, and/or fishing. During the fall season hunters may also hunt for trophy whitetail deer and/or muledeer.

Bag Limit

1-3 Rio Grande Gobblers. Additional birds may be harvested for an additional fee and based upon availability.

Travel Tips

Obtain your hunting license and your airline tickets at least six weeks in advance of your hunt. If you are hunting over the Easter holidays then you may want to get your airline tickets 8 weeks in advance. If you are going to take your birds back to be mounted, carry a large enough ice chest and bring some pantyhose and newspaper to wrap your bird in. We do offer expediting services to simplify travel concerns. Rental car arrangements should be made in advance if you choose to rent one.

"I have actively hunted turkeys for 22 years now, even though my first hunt was in 1967 for turkeys. To date, I have never seen such a great concentration of free ranging wild turkeys. Your service and facilities are without peer. What a great place to hunt turkeys. All the great food, beautiful lodge, and good people were a bonus. Jim's asking grace at the table was special to me. I will be a regular client and will be there next year, Lord willing."
